Using Data to Achieve AYP
Reaching Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) goals requires more than teaching and working harder; it also requires working smarter. An important first step is for every teacher to understand the destination. What are the standards? What is on the test? Which standards are most essential? How do my lessons align to those standards? This workshop will provide an overview of the International Center’s resource kits, Achieving AYP Using State-specific Curriculum Matrix Data, Gold Seal Lessons for Rigor and Relevance - K-8, and Gold Seal Lessons for Rigor and Relevance - 9-12, to answer these and other related questions and concerns.
