Mission of the International Center for Leadership in Education
In pursuit of its mission - rigorous and relevant learning for all students - the International Center for Leadership in Education has developed an extraordinary repertoire of results, resources, and relationships to help advance school improvement and increase student achievement.
The International Center was founded in 1991 by Dr. Willard R. Daggett on the belief that ALL students need an academically rigorous and relevant curriculum based on positive relationships. This basic mission has become the focus of change and continuous school improvement for hundreds of districts and thousands of schools across the nation.
To fulfill its mission, the International Center identifies the nation's best practices and success stories and shares them through keynote presenters and consultant services, our annual Model Schools Conference and Symposiums, and numerous print and video professional development resources.
The International Center is the creator of the Rigor/Relevance Framework® and Learning Criteria to Support 21st Century Learners™.
