Improving K-12 Student Performance - From Successful Practices to Action Plans
The Symposium is designed for both schools that are just setting out on the reinvention process and for schools that have been on the journey for several years and are looking for resources and assistance with next steps to stay on a path of continuous improvement.
Secondary Schools (6-12)
- Elementary and Secondary strands that highlight innovative systems and successful programs implemented by national school reform leaders and successful practitioners
- Strategies for using fiscal resources effectively to improve student performance
- Leadership sessions for administrators and teachers that provide both insight and practical advice for building instructional leadership throughout a school or district
- In-depth discussions of the unifying characteristics found in all types of successful high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools
- Best Practices for engaging 21st century learners through rigor, relevance, and relationships
Facilitated Planning Process
The most dynamic aspect of the Symposium is the ample time and guidance provided for action planning. Come as a team to develop a school action plan with concrete objectives that align with the International Center’s Learning Criteria, which supports rigor, relevance, and relationships. Leave the Symposium with clear direction to improve instruction.
